With the world being a little crazy right now, with a lot of uncertainty, it is important to take time to take care of yourself. To take time and relax, pause, and breathe.

I recently moved to New Orleans which means I have a lot more space than I had in Brooklyn. So we took advantage of our new space and added fresh herbs and lavender plants to our house plant collection.

Moving to a different place allows opportunity. EMERGE will now include a little more wellness in addition to nutrition—because your mind is just as important of a part of being healthy as your body and soul.

For my first entry, I’m sharing a salt bath recipe I got from Better Homes and Gardens. Because I work out a lot, I like to take epsom salt baths for recovery. I recently went to the store and didn’t find my favorite scent, lavender, so I had this great idea that I would just make my own lavender epsom salts with the lavender plant we bought.

We are all experiencing Covid in different ways and dealing with it in different ways. Remember to take a step back, breathe and remember there are only certain things you can control — take care of yourself.
